A Yellow Ground Famille Rose 'Shou' Character Hat Stand
The finely enamelled hat stand is decorated to the top with reticulated roundels enclosing iron red stylised bats, set against a lemon-yellow ground with bats amidst clouds surrounding by a 'Shou' character. The mid-section is shaped as an archaistic vase with a lotus-form mouth supporting the top section, with the exterior enamelled with lotus sprays. The lower bell-form section has further bats, with four pink archaistic phoenix-form supports, all raised on a foliate gilt-decorated base with ruyi-form feet, incised with a gild six characters mark on the base
