A Famille Rose 'Boys' Ovoid Jar and Cover with a Wooden Stand
the ovoid body surmounted by a short slightly waisted neck, superbly painted around the exterior with the lavishly dressed boys situated in a blooming garden of pine trees and craggy rocks, the boy holding lanterns, ruyi sceptres and toys, and lighting firecrackers, between ruyi bands bordering the lotus scroll-decorated turquoise bands on the shoulder and above the foot. The domed cover is similarly decorated below the bud finial. All of the interiors and the base surrounding a six-character iron red mark are covered in turquoise enamel, with a wooden stand
